Tomorrow there is an exciting workshop happening at 1pm in Pod A (union)

This workshop run by Parth is titled “4000 pounds to save a life? What does that mean, and how is this calculated?”

AMF is probably the most cited charity in EA and GiveWell for its cost-effectiveness. While it is good to defer to experts sometimes when thinking about effectiveness, it's important to form your own view. In this interactive workshop using GiveWell as an example, Parth will show why this may not be as hard as it seems, and the value of understanding where some of these estimates come from.
