Hey friends!
Join us for an informal get-together where we share thoughts, ideas, life updates and/or new knowledge towards making a positive difference in the world.
We welcome new members as well as old
so don't be shy! Whether you're a fresh graduate or seasoned professional or elderly retiree, we'd love to meet you!
Usually our chats focus around global health, poverty & development, AI technological progress, mental health & wellbeing, animal welfare, community health, longtermism, existential risks to humanity, global priorities, nuclear risks and greater power conflict/international relations.
We value open-mindedness, mutual respect and healthy debate.
Light lunch and drinks are provided.
We gather twice per month (every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month) at Smith's Alternative 12–2pm.
If you are interested in our monthly talks, book-borrowing service, 1-on-1 chats and/or social events (e.g. hiking, bouldering, boardgames) let us know!
