I'm looking for help from anyone with the ability to make matched donations to the Good Food Institute.
I live in Australia and my employer offers me 50% donation matching for some organisations including The Life You Can Save. It's an ongoing offer with no publicised limits so I go ahead and put most of my income through it each month.
However I have an additional $10K USD that I want to give to GFI, and unfortunately my employer will not match them because they don't meet their criteria of being tax deductible within Australia.
I am hoping to instead give the money to someone in a better position to get it fully or partially matched, such as a similar employer donation program including GFI, while also not reducing the amount of matched donations that person would have made themselves. It would be trust based but presumably would also have the incentive of additional tax credits for the person making the donation if their country allows it.
I've had a look around at other posts for different ideas but none seem quite suitable:
The US Giving Tuesday with Facebook matching, but I've heard this has quite low limits outside the US.
Donation swap portal, but I'm aiming for 50% or higher matching rather than tax credits and also my tax rate already becomes quite low after my other donations.
Matching from my friends, but I'm very unlikely to convince them to donate to a cause without Australian tax deductibility.
Please let me know if you are interested or if you know anyone or have any alternative ideas.
